Nancy Cobb

Executive Director, OneGeorgia Authority

Nancy Cobb was sworn in as the Executive Director of the OneGeorgia Authority on July 23, 2002 and reappointed by Governor Sonny Perdue on October 1, 2003. Prior to her initial appointment, Mrs. Cobb served as interim Executive Director of the Authority for nine months.

Nancy was educated in the public schools in Millen and holds an A.S. degree from Middle Georgia College and a BBA in Accounting from Georgia State College and University. She is a Certified Governmental Finance Officer and is a Certified Public Accountant candidate.

Nancy has developed a diverse background in financial/accounting and rural economic development through her professional career in both the public and private sector. She was Finance Officer and Grant Administrator for nearly a decade in her hometown of Millen prior to moving to Dublin in 1983. She joined Freeman, Daniel, Tydings & Company as an accountant, resigning in late 1991 to accept the position of Controller for Cellular Plus, an early leader in rural Georgia for high-tech communications. Prior to joining the OneGeorgia Authority, Nancy served as Corporate Accounting Manager for Dublin Construction Company, an established leader in commercial and industrial construction for over 55 years in the Southeastern United States.
